The MSc programme in Horticultural Sciences deals with the biology and physiology of plants and all aspects related to the production and use of horticultural plants.Students are provided with a broad knowledge of plants and the international nature of the programme reflects the diversity of climatic conditions, crops and plants that grow all over the world. Elective courses allow students to specialise in the specific area of their interest – examples could be biological pest control or the production of potted plants.Career opportunities are numerous in the horticultural business where graduates may work as production or cultivation consultants, in product development or in research. Many horticulturalists work with environmental issues, for example in the public sector.
