As an MSc student in Biology-Biotechnology you will work with biotechnological problems such as the mapping of biological processes in the living cell through changing the organism’s genes, the use of living organisms in the production of non-allergenic foods, and organisms’ resistancy towards the future environment and climate.

As a student you can specialise in biotechnological problems within areas such as animal biotechnology, microbial biotechnology or biological chemistry. Courses reflect core issues and build the necessary basis for the thesis work as well as a strong professional profile. Many students combine the thesis with research in a private company and in this way train their skills before entering the job market.

An MSc degree in Biology-Biotechnology will open many career opportunities in private companies such as the pharmaceutical industry, food production, breeding of plants and animals, cloning and pest control.
