The Elements of Style is a writing course consisting of five two-hour courses designed to improve your English writing skills whether you are a student of English philology or perhaps even a native speaker determined to write better than you thought you could. Taught by William Roderick Richardson, whose articles have appeared in distinguished publications in Poland and abroad, The Elements of Style, is a crash course in good writing. Lessons will cover elementary rules of usage; elementary principles of composition; forms for academic or literary publication; words and expressions commonly misused and how to write fearlessly, honestly and concisely. Students will study classic examples of English prose as well as work on their own writing style. A reasonably advanced stage of English fluency is necessary to attend this course.
